Members of the UnGraven Image Collector Family are special and precious.

Collector Family members are an integral part of Judy Rey Wasserman's UnGraven Image art movement because they are helping to change the way we see the world one picture at a time.

Whenever a member of the Collector Family displays a picture in a home or office, the people there are being exposed to the Hebrew letters that are from a portion of the Bible. As one Christian lady said, “It's like having an open Bible in your home!”

If the Collector Family member takes the time to explain the painting is actually made up of the letters and words from the Bible , perhaps referencing the passage(s) used, this helps to change the way the other person sees their world. Changing the way one sees the world, will change a person's life.

We are never alone. We just need to learn how to see that.

Visually getting the idea that the very Words of the Lord are present and creating the physical reality we are in, at every single moment, in everyplace we wander is life changing. All basic Judeo-Christian theology that asserts when G-d spoke in Hebrew saying, “Let there be light…” the world came into being. All Judeo-Christian theology further agrees that the Hebrew letters from Creation symbolically represent the essential building blocks of the universe. Physicists call these pre-particles membranes, or wave-like motions.

Members of the Collector Family are showing people that reality!

In person, over the phone and through emails, I have been privileged to meet members of the Collector Family. Blogs, articles and now a whole approach to using prints as fundraisers for non-profit groups have been inspired by members of the collector family.

Today, Debbye came up with a twist to the slogan, which I have already begun to use above, “Changing the way we see the world one picture at a time.” In oh-so-many ways this is an improvement over “…one painting at a time.” The Lord continues to use Debbye to get through to me when I am just not getting It or doubting what I hear from that still small voice.

A new member from eBay, Marion asked why there was such a broad range in some of the pricing on eBay, for instance the largest eBay Exclusive print, Hamsa Tree Aleph, like all the exclusives begins at the lowest auction price for $.99, yet that same print listed in the UnGraven Image Gallery and Studio store for The Buy It Now (a fixed price) of $154.18.

The fixed Buy It Now price offering eBay exclusive prints in the store serves two basic purposes. First, anyone who wants a print immediately, or wants to make sure they collect a specific print, as they are all limited editions and there is no guarantee that they will continue to be offered on eBay, can purchase the print immediately.

The second reason for the fixed price amount shows just how important the Collector Family members are, whether they join through eBay, through a show, an open studio, the UnGraven Image web site, etc. The fixed price in the eBay store indicates a suggested and fair price for prints at auction. When a print is marketed off of the Internet, the retail price is the price on the UnGraven Image web site, or for the exclusives, the price in the eBay store.

Money and art. It has been a dynamic duo throughout the history of the modern world. For every story about a starving artist there's another story about someone who made a fortune by investing or stumbling upon the work of an artist who became famous. Today's art market rivals the stock market as an investment that pays well. Of course, not every artist is worth collecting and not every stock is a good buy.

The members of the Collector Family are patrons of the UnGraven Image art movement. They are also investors who are investing their money, wall space and time in this art and ministry to help change the way we see the world one picture at a time.

And there's one more thing that many of the members of the collector family do that is absolutely invaluable. They pray. They pray for us, for this ministry and for a better world where more people realize that we are surrounded by the Words of the Lord.

The first steps to use the prints in fundraising campaigns for an approved non-profit charity are being done. This is very exciting. Aside from the opportunity to help an excellent ministry, it should also pave the way for being able to use the prints in fundraising campaigns for other small or local groups. Last week's photographs and slides were dropped off. Hopefully they will be back this week. Slides can take a while. These materials are a necessary and important step for are prints, slides for galleries, curators and presentations and also as part of the continuing record of progress.

Members of the UnGraven Image Collector Family are people who have purchased or been given signed artwork created by Judy Rey Wasserman. At the present this can be either paintings or limited edition prints. In time this will include other art work, such as sculpture.
